Most of all, being a veteran means you’re still serving, just in a different way now: by refusing to let this country forget what was paid for its freedom.

Last night, I had the privilege of speaking to a packed house at the Northern Kentucky Tea Party meeting. I gave a brief legislative update, but used most of the time to talk about how critical it is that we re-elect @MassieforKY.

We can talk about limited government, cutting wasteful spending, lowering taxes, and everything under the sun, but it’s just a social exercise if we don’t re-elect the man who has actually put those principles into action.

Thomas has been fighting for the America First agenda that Trump ran on, and now he is being viciously attacked for it.

Having been involved in politics since 2007, I have never seen an election cycle characterized by so many lies. Our mailboxes and screens have been flooded with millions of dollars’ worth of ads paid for by D.C. insiders who want to buy this congressional seat out from under the people who actually live here.

Thomas’ opponent has skipped every debate so far, eight of them. He has canceled on a multitude of county events in Grant, Owen, and beyond. Instead of engaging with voters and answering questions, he trots out a letterman jacket and a memorabilia display like he’s at a trade show in Vegas. The lack of transparency and refusal to discuss actual issues are alarming!

Do not be deceived by someone who thinks they are entitled to your vote simply because they are spending millions of dollars to obtain it.

Breaking: Ed Gallerien (Thomas Massie’s opponent) no-showed an Owen County Republican Party event after confirming he would attend. His campaign claims it is because his stepmother died several months ago.

I’m a voter in the 4th District and have tried a few times to hear from Ed Gallerien at party events, but he has no-showed every event I’ve tried to attend.

Today’s excuse, which I heard during his surrogate’s speech, was that Ed Gallerien was burying his stepmother, who “died several months ago.” That is exactly what the surrogate said — that his stepmother died several months ago and therefore he couldn’t be here. I’ll post video of this tomorrow.

I don’t understand this excuse. Why would that require a last-minute cancellation? If she had passed away several months ago, wouldn’t the burial be a scheduled event rather than something that causes him to call the party chair less than 24 hours before the event to cancel?

Did Gallerien just use his stepmother’s death from months ago to get out of another public event? I feel awful when anyone’s mother dies, but that doesn’t mean we can’t ask these questions that point to a person’s character.
