Brewers have their best record through the halfway point in franchise history but because we lost a series vs the Cubs last weekend the doom watchers would make you think the sky is falling down
Brewers have the second best record in the league btw
@MatthewMKE98 Theoretically, if they add Skubal, that would send Henderson to the bullpen for the playoffs which in turn could strengthen both our starting rotation and bullpen
We got Joel Kuhnel pitching in a crucial 10th inning and dudes will look at you with a straight face and say we need a bat at the deadline more than relief help
The Brewer fans on here who complain about challenging/not challenging balls and strikes might be the worst version of arm chair managers out there.
If you take away the box on the broadcast most of these fans wouldn’t even know where the strike zone is.
So many doom watching Brewer “fans” on this app. Cant even wait till the end of the game to complain about the offense. Must be an exhausting way to watch these games
In Sproat’s last 4 starts, if you take away his 1 blow up inning due to cramps, he has thrown 20 IP and only given up 4 ER while striking out 21
Tough to not be premature in thinking he’s figured something out
In a similar boat here. Can’t just wipe hands clean of this one like I’m seeing others do so easily.
He got the city and franchise out of a massive playoff drought. Attracted stars to play with him. Isn’t so simple to rebuild and return to contention like it’s 2K.
No playoff wins from 2002-2018. That was a dark era with little hope. Talks of relocation. Incredibly hard to see it any other way now.
Past 28 Days
Sal Frelick: .270/.343/.708 with 6 2B, 11 RBI and only 5 Ks
Lara in AAA: .226/.351/.642 with 2 2B, 5 RBI, and 13 Ks
For the people on this app clamoring for the switch, why would the Brewers make that happen now?
@ssgadambray Bref has him hitting .250 as a pinch hitter and .268 with runners on base this year, both are fine, wouldn’t say that completely “sucks”. Bref also has him hitting .262 in high leverage at bats this year. Nowhere near as bad as you’re claiming.
What’s Sal gotta do to get a little grace from Brewers fans? I know he started slow but in June he’s hitting over .300 with an 800 OPS. He’s come up short in his last pinch hit opportunities but overall has been decent as a pinch hitter this year and solid in high leverage
@Frenchygoalie Agreed, getting Koening back from injury will help but adding one more guy Murphy can rely on night in and night out will help more than a marginal bat
The only good thing about the Brewers losing today is that maybe fans will start to realize that a bat isn’t their biggest need at the deadline but instead relief pitching which has been a problem all season.
@MatthewMKE98@CtrlAlt_Eric A simple search says Sal has a .263 career average in high leverage. But sure, that guy can’t hit at all in the clutch. I gotta remember the agenda you’re pushing.
Its also fun to root for the guys we got out there and not just complain about the roster or Murphy every game
@MatthewMKE98@CtrlAlt_Eric He’s also been hitting well in the month of June, so Murphy riding a hot bat and going with a right lefty matchup isn’t this insane braindead move you think it is
