Let me know if there are any NRS reveals at any of these events. Not expecting a release until 2027, but I think there is a chance of a reveal trailer.
@Metro_DL Obviously that means he’s still good to some degree. But I couldn’t put a character with that low of win rate and thus inability to have frequent high impact on games that high on a tier list.
@Metro_DL Counter point to Mirage: His winrate on Night Shift is literally like 10% it feels like. He gets picked a lot but the team that’s playing him seems to always lose.
Forgot how to edit videos. Might just use this time to learn a better software than Vegas. Is Premiere the go-to editing software these days?
I wish there was a software similar to Canva but for Video that had a bunch of good built-in templates and plugins.
@Matty_OW I was especially critical of Valorant in ‘24/‘25
Recently gun-play balance has been better. If the plans to lower initiator CD’s slightly are true and they continue making ults harder to get it would be great. But still stale cause it’s been out for 6 years.
NRS hiring QA testers basically guarantees a 2027 release if we use MK1 as a template. This job posting is going out around the same time they did for MK1 so my guess is Fall 2027 release.
However this won’t be a 1st on the new engine like MK1 was. So it could be sooner.
@batmanfan124 I mean hey you could be right. But judging off the exact same QA Hiring dates for MK1, it would be Fall ‘27.
Dragon and a couple other players were hired as temp QA testers in May 2022 and game released Fall 2023
@MortalKombat Don’t have enough space to type all of my positives and negatives but I’d be happy to constructively criticize what I’ve found a lot of players both enjoyed and despised in MK1 (and mk11 for that matter)
@MortalKombat I also think throw/armor combos were a really good mechanic. Compared to wake up attacks or throw KB’s. One of my favorite new systems overall. Other parts of the kameo system were rough though.
@authenssion@Battles82 Mainly cause playing MK1 after X and 11 can feel kinda repetitive. There aren’t “rare combos” or unlikely sequences very often so you play the same round 1000 times in a row.
The crowd reactions of a KB combo into armor break for the win in MK11 were so hype.
@authenssion@Battles82 My only counter point but I feel like MK9’s gimmick is “win conditions” that often times are just TOD’s. Jax, Quan, Smoke, Cyrax are the ones I know of and it’s crazy.
That being said, I agree with kameos. I actually would like Krushing Blows if they got properly balanced.
@fluff080 Yes other than MK1.
So spring could definitely be in the cards. I won’t be surprised cause it’s not on a new engine this time. But I’m also not getting my hopes up with this timing being so similar to MK1.
@LuthorSurpreme For MK1, players like Dragon were hired as temporary QA testers in May of 2022 and the game released Fall of 2023. Looks like the exact same timeline will happen here but yeah if it went really well we could see a spring 2027 release similar to MK11’s spring release.
