Different Strokes have been speaking to their community asking them to share what they wish others knew about being a younger stroke survivor. Throughout June we're going to share some of these on our page, be sure to keep an eye out for them.
Remember F.A.S.T for the signs of a stroke.
Face – has their face fallen on one side?
Arms – can they raise both arms and keep them there?
Speech – is it slurred?
Time – it’s time to call 999.

Back in 2020 we had a music specialist come to one of our meetings to talk about how instruments can be adapted for stroke survivors. Some of our members were inspired to looking into doing this they hadn't done since they'd had their stroke.
