Celebrating collaboration around positive Digital Citizenship, Digital Wellness, #UseTech4Good and Media Literacy. Posts by EPIK Deliberate Digital director.
Grateful to have been able to participate in this year's @digcitsummit. We featured a collaborator who is passionate about #UseTech4Good, who created and has created 2 GooseChase hunts for students to do with their families. Happy Media Literacy Week too! https://t.co/j5bMhcdVty
Yup. We, too, imagine a world where kids and adults, students and teachers, children/youth and their parents, are thinking more and doing more about spreading positivity than simply trying to snuff out the bad. #UseTech4Good#Digital4Good
"Negativity and hate are contagious. But so are positivity, kindness and courage."

12-year-old girl creates an app to save water! She calls it The World of Water and is sponsored by the local water company as a Young Entrepreneur. Youth amaze me. #UseTech4Good#Student#digitalLeader#edtech#digitalkids

Technology helps keep the Robredo family together. Sepanx is real for Vice President Leni Robredo, whose daughter Jillian is off studying for her degree. But thanks to technology, she can spend time with all three of her daughters. https://t.co/R6wFzeGtsV #Usetech4good
We should be talking a lot more about our relationship with media, looking beyond screen time. Parents can help kids learn what it means to use technology deliberately. We can also learn alongside them. This is new territory for us all. "We are all learners" in a digital world.
@sarahdateechur@froehlichm That's a great way to bring it all full circle. Students definitely aren't the only ones who can get discouraged with that false notion of competition/"not good enough" that we can get stuck in mentally. I've been struggling with this lately, so thx for the reminder!
What does #digcit mean to you? It's such a multifaceted range of skills, competencies and perhaps most importantly, a mindset/heartset/character set #digcitsummit
#DigitalCitizenship is more than just online safety ... it's about validity, engaging respectfully, global connections, positivity, learning from mistakes, making your voice heard @rolliges @iste #digcitweekend#digcitsummit
@JeremyDBond I guess it's good that I removed this question from the breakout session for this afternoon. :) Thanks for your great tweets. You always do a good job capturing things in a way that can help remote participants feel connected.
Interested in Digital Citizenship? The 4th annual #DigCitSummit will be held at/from St. Louis, MO on September 22 as part of a #DigCitWeekend. September 21 will cater to educators. Saturday the 22nd is for people from all sectorsโฆhttps://t.co/R2KitulS3Q https://t.co/NK4pal7tvj
@DrKMattson@kfairchild6 @iste @digcitPLN@istelib @METCedplus @ice_il@fetc@AISLEd_org@aasl@shannonmmiller Thanks for the heads-up. Would love to see resources that were freely available to parents. The cost per course would definitely be prohibitive for most parents. DigCit won't stick as a concept if it stays only in the education sector.
@shervettemiller @JCasaTodd Sorry I missed this tweet when it was written -- please consider sharing some of your students' stories with us to be considered for https://t.co/LkLOzGC8Pm #UseTech4Good
An awesome #digcit can identify a need, connect with others around the globe who also care about that need, and work with said others on a solution. Thatโs EXACTLY what the awesome teens & young adults involved with https://t.co/7q1Tx7DZel are doing!
