Watch OW on the several crosses/driven balls into the box /targeting him. He waits for the ball to get to him and his marker simply intercepts. OR he gets in the way (Bailey scramble). Where is the attack of the ball he brought up from Brentford/Championship?

I think OW!, LD and MC can all sometimes want too perfect a scenario to attack or push a chance. With UE need for retention I can somewhat the fb/wings turning back repeatedly, but JD brings a centralized attack of the ball that OW does not. #AVFC

Turns out spanking EXTREMELY POOR opponents is not bankable against top CL-caliber opposition. Digne and Bailey are NOT at the level we need and aim to be at. Not so sure UE got outmatched today. More lessons to learn than I had hoped for today. Poor. #avfc

Poor showing. COMPLETE lack of urgency EVEN in a structured tactical buildup that seemingly has NO contingencies. If LB/Midfield are off, we have ZERO recourse to affect game. NO urgency in defense. No urgency in undercooked passes. STILL. #AVFC

It is odd that #AVFC are clearly STILL undecided on Badges/Brands going forward - not fully discarding the lantern "AVEC" and not really doing anything of substance to clean up/clarify/the '82 for a modern application - beyond 23/24?. My .02 would "modernise the old" like so.

@andrew_buck my .02 is that Purslow clearly got this one in under the line for an easy revenue haul - disregarding 1) reasons for impending ban on gambling sponsors and 2) clearly dismissing the consensus opinion: "adult" nature of the Co.'s marketing - wich Norwich formally objected to.
