Key key concept when using LLMs. Know what the model was trained on to have a hope of getting an output. #AMIA2023 the trouble is knowing what it was trained on...

@radiology_ninja @AMIAinformatics @ACIFellows but won't it be confusing in the future, and what about semantic interoperability? #Y2K :D

lunch @ #AMIA2022?
- catch up with old friends, make new friends, chat and learn
- eat
- get back in time for the keynote

Back in the game with #AMIA2022 and it seems like they've hired some kind of title wizard this year 1/

Dropping some wisdom bombs now: "Flexibility is the opposite of interoperability." The need to constrain things to a degree for interoperability. @DocOnFHIR #clinicinasonfhir

Would love to find that article about how it has gone from "10" to "1000 facts per decision" now required in healthcare. Feels true, but an expert clinician usually filters by magnitude of impact pretty quick. @DocOnFHIR

"Clinicians on FHIR", possibly the most organized presentation I've ever been to:
- confluence site
- zoom meeting for highest fidelity slide visibilty
- tinyurl / QR code

@zchagla @DrToddLee @BradSpellberg @mykkymcg @LACUSC_ID @LACUSCMedCenter @AlonVaisman @ACI_Journal *page*
*Look at page*
*Put down pen*
*Call, ring*
"Oh let me get the person who paged"
*Answer question*
Time = 5min?
Vs
Reply to instant message = 2min?

Definitely some #lean that can happen there...

[Steven Wong MD @DigiHealthMD]

@DrToddLee @zchagla @BradSpellberg @mykkymcg @LACUSC_ID @LACUSCMedCenter I think @AlonVaisman published something in @ACI_Journal about paging surges and it's possible effect on clinical care

[Steven Wong MD @DigiHealthMD]

@zchagla @BradSpellberg @mykkymcg @DrToddLee @LACUSC_ID @LACUSCMedCenter @DrToddLee's experience highlights how important cognitive load, flow, and context shifting can be in healthcare though. Instant messaging helps alleviate some of that burden.

[Steven Wong MD @DigiHealthMD]

@zchagla @BradSpellberg @mykkymcg @DrToddLee @LACUSC_ID @LACUSCMedCenter But how will people know I'm a doctor without my pager?

[Steven Wong MD @DigiHealthMD]

@zchagla @BradSpellberg @mykkymcg @DrToddLee @LACUSC_ID @LACUSCMedCenter On a serious note I think there are good options for secure messaging. And yes #epic has a form of it that we can use.
