It's the same, but different 🤣.
It's definitely reused, but adapted to the new game with some adjustments on texture and mesh. I guess mesh changed due to animation requirements.

It's definitely not as simple as putting a high polygon model in the game, it looses in aesthetics. Needs more defined edges at least.

@9ennai Yeah, DW2 is decent. Above Wargreymon on the left is DW2. Here is MetalGarurumon from DW2.

I think modern high polygon count models will fit, but need to be specifically build for this, more chibi style.

@robertbegg_art Yeah, DW1 is just special, they nailed the pacing, ambience and aesthetics. No other game felt like DW1, it's kind of on it's own category.

Not without flaws obviously, the combat was quite subpar and broken, not balanced at all 🤣

One original idea I had for a possible Digimon World 1 Remake is to get one digimon that would open a photobooth, where you could pose with your digimon and take pics... I must say it looks way too good...
