IDK what you expect--a lifetime committment signed in blood? Matthews, Hutson, Caufield, Connor, Boeser, Sanderson etc have all happily stayed put.

He got a taste of winning in Milan, & might now see a team in WPG that is aging and likely not contending for the rest of his career. Maybe it felt more hopeful 3 yrs ago.
