๐ G'day Beatiful People...I am super excited to announce that I have started an AI newsletter...It had over 100 subscribers in just the first hour alone ๐
PostSmith Chapter 1: From Musician to Agentic Orchestrator using Kiro & AgentCore
https://t.co/I72FArzO8d
I'll be featuring this journey at the AWS Public Sector Symposium later this week to demonstrate Kiro.
Video is courtesy of @Grok Imagine. Honest feedback on the newsletter Grok?
This newsletter will chronicle my agentic journey with my latest agentic invention called PostSmith and starts with the story of the Trend Scout agent...๐
It explores how years of composing, orchestrating and producing music surprisingly prepared me for building production-grade AI agents with Kiro and AgentCore.
Youโll get a taste of the purpose (helping students ship real agentic systems at scale), the unexpected value that emerged, and a few hard-won learnings from turning a clear vision into a working prototype...all shared in my AWS courses and at conferences.
No spoilers. Just enough to spark curiosity... ๐ค
If youโre building (or wrestling with) agent orchestration right now, this oneโs for you.
Drop a comment and tell me what part of the agent journey is currently keeping you up at night.

๐ Whoa...just as things couldn't get any more wild. AWS Transform can convert application code from Azure SDK to AWS SDK...๐คฏ
The AWS Transform .NET modernization agent identifies Azure service code and converts it to equivalent AWS service code. For example, an Azure Functions serverless function that uses Azure Cosmos DB can be converted to an AWS Lambda function that uses Amazon DynamoDB.
This means the barrier to migrating away from one cloud to another just got lower. And that barrier will continue to drop.
Love the Gen AI video below. Let me know in the comments ๐

This trainer is making animal balloons. He take an Azure SDK balloon and transforms it into an AWS SDK balloon. Make it fun, humourous but with no talking. In the style of a mime sketch, with quirky mime music.

๐ค What do you when your @Qantas flight is cancelled due to the Sydney security strikes?
You visit @BrewingDrop in Botany Bay and have the best sours in Australia and catch a later flight...of course...๐
Have an awesome weekend...๐

Scene 1: This man has a blended UK and Australian accent. There is a bustling crowd of weekend drinkers behind him dressed in colourful craft beer styled clothes. He says "Cheers." Causally sips his sour beer and walks excitedly to a Qantas 737-800.
Scene 2: He walks up the stairs, turns around and says "Enjoy the weekend" and waves goodbye. He says nothing else. Cinematic, fun and compelling.
@Scobleizer@aelluswamy Now I am really excited. I have an original first of the boat in Australia Tesla Model 3 SR+ and I can't wait to get my hands on...or is it hands off...the Lite version...๐
@Kristennetten I can't wait to see Cybercab in Brisbane....we have the Olympics in 2032...sounds like a perfect way to travel between events @elonmusk ๐
๐ G'day Beautiful People...Kiro, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor all call the same features by different names. So I mapped them on one page. That's a world first...๐
Thank you to my wonderful customers today for making me realise the value of this cheat sheet...๐
The royalty cheque is in the post...๐
Steering files or CLAUDE.md? Powers or plugins? Specs or plan mode?
If you build, teach or just simply want to learn more...this cheat sheet is like your Google translater...helping you convert the terms between the different tools. Perfect for me...๐
If you love this PDF, please save the post, like, comment, repost and follow...but necessarily in that order...๐
The key highlights:
๐ One-page cheat sheet attached below.
๐งญ Steering, skills, powers, specs, hooks and agents side by side
๐ MCP, slash commands and autonomy modes
๐ฅ๏ธ CLI, IDE, cloud and CI options for each tool
โ Every name checked against the official docs this week
Only Kiro currently ships a full spec workflow out of the box. The others lean on plan mode.
Quick one for the comments...which one is your daily driver? ๐

๐ G'day Beautiful People...if you lead, build, or teach Generative AI on AWSโฆ this week's handout has a new executive look...๐
This is based on valuable feedback from some awesome people...and I use it to stay current...๐
Original post is ๐
https://t.co/3FsOam4twC
Page one is now a one page executive summary of the top 5 releases, so a busy practitioner or leader gets the whole week in two minutes, and every item points to its technical deep dive further down on page 2 onwards.
That means one PDF works for the boardroom and the build team. Execs and TLDR fans read page one, builders flip to their page, and nobody has to translate...๐

Now, a confession. I'm testing some AWS stand up material for re:Invent this year, and I need an honest crowd. Here's one:
"I teach least privilege to all of my students. I. only give people the access they need. My wife's run that policy on me for twenty years. I've got read only access to the TV remote and an explicit deny on too many drinks at our local tavern."
Would this get a laugh in Vegas? Tell me which one and why ๐

๐ G'day Beautiful People...this week's Amazon Bedrock and agentic AI handout is how you stay ahead of the student who reads it before breakfast...๐
I turned the What's New firehose into a pocket brief you can save, share, and use before the next class. Let's unpack the hits...๐ค
๐ Scannable handout for builders and executives is attached below.
Quick contrast...
โก Haiku 5.5 = the cheap fast tier for high-volume jobsโฆ lots of them at once, without lighting the bill on fire.
๐๏ธ Nova 2.5 Sonic = voice agents that reason and finish the task out loudโฆ not another chatbot that only types.
๐ Permission-aware RAG = Quick and Bedrock Knowledge Bases check document access live per questionโฆ so the model never sees what the user cannot open.
Haiku for volume. Sonic for voice. Live permission checks so the clever answer is still the allowed one. The rest of the digest is in the same PDF if you want Strands Box and the other also-worth hits.
Quick one... which classroom demo do you run first next week? ๐
โก Haiku 5.5 on the cost tier
๐๏ธ Nova 2.5 Sonic voice agents
๐ Answers that respect document access
๐ The rest of the digest
๐ Be honest... handout first, coffee second
Drop the emoji. Winner gets bragging rights...๐
That's it. Enjoy. I'm off to relax for the weekend.
