@KVanValkenburg@Skulledwedge@TheStroker83 Tying historical significance to every performance is a fools errand. A good player played great when it mattered most. It happens every tournament and 4 times a year in majors. Same could be said for Rory’s 2025 masters. It was great for Rory and media, but not the sport itself.
@acaseofthegolf1 There is immense talent on that tour, and the refrain is always the same “why don’t people watch?” You covered a lot of the reasons for it. Working to create that connection with fans isn’t just giving balls to kids by the greens.
@thwacknicklaus Very tough choice between the 975 and the burner. 975 was probably the best, burner most influential. Now if it was big Bertha’s instead of the great BB i might choose it.
@KVanValkenburg I’d say he’s been asked a version of that question 100 times, has answered it over and over, and after having a tough round of grinding, and he’s not interested in engaging. Asking it on a Tuesday he probably answers. Answering it after a Thursday round he punts
@Persimmon_Blade@KVanValkenburg The thing about Raymond was he seemed to do it once a round. His chipping game was perfect.
I was at an ATT corporate event and he chipped from off the green three times in five shots, while wearing a mic and talking through how to play the shot.
@KVanValkenburg Greatest chipper in history. (Yes better than even my Seve) Absolute assassin. Met Raymond a couple times and he was very genuine. There was also no doubt he was the alpha dog.
@GolfweekNichols How close is the parking? I don’t go to any event without good parking. NFL game I’ll pay 100 bucks to be within two blocks. MLB, 50 bucks.
@kclairerogers Nelly is outstanding on her own and shouldn’t be compared to anyone except her immediate peers.
If you insist, I’d point out that Scottie has been the #1 for 3.5 years.Nelly has outstanding years followed by good years. id love to see her maintain the same level year after year
@DuBoseDefense@MerionChuck I had an overly chatty young guy when I played Pebble. Nice kid, knew a little, but when I was trying to talk to my playing partners, he was interjecting himself into it.
Never had a bad experience at @PinehurstResort though. My guy Jeremy takes great care of me.
