The NOAA also lost a further 1000 employees to early retirement offered by DOGE.

The administration is looking to cut 2000 MORE jobs through budget reductions in 2026.

However staffing is only 5% of the federal budget and is the fed gov is the largest employer of vets. Firing vets without really understanding their job isn't going to save us much money
