We had a wonderful time hosting this amazing indigenous-led creative art workshop series for DTES youth thx to the leadership of Jesse and Jenna Gouchay of Miska Creative Society.

Kids enjoyed creating & exploring themes with the guidance from local #DTES #chinatownyvr artists/mentors to develop new skills, unleash their creativity & connect with new friends through art. ✨👏✨

👉 Over the course of the workshops the young artists made some phenomenal pieces, which will be featured at our upcoming Mid-Autumn Moon Festival at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden end of the month.

This project and workshop series was made possible by TD CANADA TRUST @td_canada. In partnership with @vangarden @DigitalHopes & Miska Creative Society. A huge shout out to our usual community bridge builders @ashtrey5 @sarahblyth @rthexton @thenetworkhub & John Paterson ❤️🙏🏻

All the artwork from art program will be on display at @vangarden’s mid-autumn festival!
