In my latest column for @Bruegel_org I argue that, on tech regulation, the EU should stop apologising and go on the offensive.
The case for EU regulation killing innovation (as recently put forward by the US) is weak.

From 24.20, I say: narrative path-dependency extends also to industry and MS. They repeat the same mantra since years.

@DigitalMarioM wrote an opinion piece arguing that we should be concerned about the bias embedded in artificial intelligence. He says that "Biases are not only embedded in the design of the algorithm. They are also external to it, originating in societal biases."

Seems to me that everyone's reaction to Twitter's new policy has been: let's go somewhere else.
There are better, realistic and effective ways to express criticism.
Coordinate a regular Twitter-strike e.g.

4/ I propose No-Tweet-Mondays; it could be another day.
I also proposed a banner; surely someone can come up with something better.
Twitter employees could also join: eg slow down procedures etc.
