@bestofstarwar I hated the movie but this scene was very clever. Using Anakin’s lightsaber in the projection, the one he lost and that Rey brought to him was a reminder to Kylo that his grandfather, whom he idolized, was a Jedi.
@MiffedScientist@TatooineSons It’s from the Dark Empire comic series/graphic novel. Palpatine survived ROTJ through cloning, and because Luke believed the only way to destroy him was to allow himself to turn to the darkside, he agrees to join Palpatine. Leia was able to help him turn back to the light.
@TatooineSons This was clearly written by someone who clearly never read any Star Wars books or comics about Luke Skywalker. He was powerful but lost many battles and lost many friends, his wife died, and his nephew turned to the dark side. Concepts in the sequels were taken from the books.
@ScriptTrooper You’re gonna hurt your back the way you’re trying to spin this movie as a failure. I doubt you even watched the film. It had the same tone as the first two seasons of The Mandalorian but darker.
@TheDisneyPulse@WDWNT I agree but Monster’s Inc Land will be very popular when it opens next year. Galaxy’s Edge needs a new attraction. There’s room for one, they just need to make it happen.
@WDWNT The 3rd week in May is always a down week attendance wise. Kids are finishing school and there are graduations. This week and weekend will be packed.
People who like to form their own opinions and aren’t swayed by online discourse will probably love The Mandalorian and Grogu. I really hope people will not read any reviews and go into it with no opinions so they can form their own.
One of the strongest aspects of The Mandalorian & Grogu is just how much of a standalone adventure it really is IMO.
It’s like an old school western in all the best ways and reminded me so much of the series’ first season. Above all else, it’s a super character-driven story, and I really appreciated that.
The more I think about it, the more I can’t wait to watch it again with my friends this Thursday! #TheMandalorianAndGrogu
