@KarenSethuraman Neither was God behind the bombs and bullets in N. Ireland. Yet there are those who embrace the political representatives of those who believe the bombs and bullets were part of a justifiable war.
@chrisadonnelly Ironically for evangelical Protestants the Pope is probably nearer the truth than Charles as the latter believes all religions are different ways to God which in effect diminishes the uniqueness of God's revelation in Christ.
@paul_CPSU@KarenSethuraman PCI are simply being faithful to Jesus as Lord. He is the One who calls men and women into discipleship with Him and part of the cost of that discipleship is forsaking sin.
@KarenSethuraman@rivjfnekzkfjrns The gospel surely is that Christ died for sinners. There can be no gospel without the Cross for this is why Jesus came to earth to save His people from their sins (Matt. 1 vs21). This is the good news... the gospel.
@KarenSethuraman@donegalclaret Karen I am genuinely confused by some of your posts. Was Paul divinely inspired when he proclaimed Christ in his letters in the NT?
Can you explain in simple terms what the gospel is and whether it involves Jesus dying on the Cross to save sinful people like us from condemnation?
@KarenSethuraman@squinteratn God's love is indeed amazing but His love does not mean He turns a blind eye to sin for He is holy and cannot bear evil. That is why His Son came to die on a Cross for He bore our sin in our place as the hymn 'How deep the Father's love for us' states. This is the gospel.
@KarenSethuraman@SeanIvor Argument re disciples not being Irish is beyond stupid as there were no Irish in Jewish society then. Fact is there were women and Jesus chose men. So was Jesus mistaken?
@DKellyDerry@AlderdiceLord This new 'inclusive' Ireland is just another name for a state that will exclude unionists and all those who do not subscrible to a secular and woke ideology which promotes the killing of the unborn and the decadence of a morally corrupt nation. No thanks I say.
