Can you explain in simple terms what the gospel is and whether it involves Jesus dying on the Cross to save sinful people like us from condemnation?

@KarenSethuraman @squinteratn God's love is indeed amazing but His love does not mean He turns a blind eye to sin for He is holy and cannot bear evil. That is why His Son came to die on a Cross for He bore our sin in our place as the hymn 'How deep the Father's love for us' states. This is the gospel.
