Let’s Break It Down: 100 Broilers (0–6 Weeks) Using Today’s Market Price”

Let’s use today’s real market situation so beginners can understand what they’re getting into.
• Day-old chick: ₦1,700
• Feed (Starter): ₦23,000 per bag

We’re calculating 100 birds from day-old to 6 weeks using only starter feed.

📊 FEED CONSUMPTION (0–6 WEEKS):

A broiler consumes about 3.9kg feed in 6 weeks.

So for 100 birds:
3.5kg × 100 = 390kg feed total

1 bag = 25kg
350kg ÷ 25 = 15.6bags

💰 FEED COST:

16 bags × ₦23,000 = ₦368,000

🐥 COST OF CHICKS:

100 birds × ₦1,700 = ₦170,000

⚙️ OTHER COSTS (Estimated):
• Drugs & vaccines: ₦20,000
• Litter & setup: ₦15,000
• Miscellaneous: ₦5,000
