Here is my little script I made last night to convert video files to 480p AVI format using ffmpeg on linux to watch movies via PS2 Homebrew SMS. (Not sure about other OSes, but if you can execute .sh, you can use the script so it may work in WSL.)
I made this because I set up a CRT now in my retro area and wanted to be able to view movies on it both new and old. Therefore this script should work with any movie file compatible with ffmpeg.
Just read the readme for the easy use instructions.
Also I'd take a peak at the script and adjust the volume in the ffmpeg command if it is too loud or too quiet after conversion.

Video instructions on use coming in the future.

Well I now have my retro area fully set up!
PS1(JP), PS2(FMCB), PS3, Super Famicom, N64(NA), Gamecube(JP), and Wii(JP) are all set up as well.
I plan to record videos of me playing retro games and edit them and share my thoughts on amazing retro games.
They will be subtitled first in Japanese then in English.
Maybe one video a week.

I’m catiously optimistic about this one.
The vibe is off the charts, and I won’t throw the protag off the cliff until it is proven she is a lame character.
Just make it the best you can and don’t go so deep down the gender politics and this game could be super epic.
Looking forward to seeing a deep dive into the gameplay.

You can already be liberated thanks to valve and proton.
Just choose a reputable OS.
Ala Fedora, Ubuntu, Mint, PopOS, Elementary
These are all easy to use and have windows equivalent apps for everything pretty much. And of course you can still use WINE or a VM when you absolutely need access to a windows app.

@Pirat_Nation I do separation of work and play which is why I mostly play on my PS5 seeing as I work all day on my PC doing gamedev, 3D modeling, and digital drawing/painting.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t game on PC at all too often of course.
