Vladimir Guerrero Jr. opens up on his slump year:
“I want people to understand one thing. The money they gave me wasn’t for what I’m going to do. It was for what I already did. They didn’t pay me because I’m going to hit 40 every year. They paid me for what I already accomplished. People are confused about that, but I think the same way they do. Like, sometimes I even say to myself: bro, they gave you all that money and you’re out here doing nothing. I try.
You know how it is with fans, when you’re good, they’re with you 100%. But when you smell like shit, like we like to say here, nobody supports you.
The ones who support you are the ones who stay with you. Those are my fans. My family.”

Done deal: The LA Clippers and Raptors have both agreed to complete the trade sending Kawhi Leonard to Toronto for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks, one first-round pick swap and two second-rounders, per ESPN sources. The sides will now schedule a trade call.
There’s something admittedly very funny about going to a city council dressed as a notable supervillain to speak in favor of an evil thing with complete feigned sincerity
BREAKING: The NBA has ruled on the Los Angeles Clippers in for salary cap circumvention investigations on Kawhi Leonard after yearlong probe -- stripping the franchise of 5 first-round picks, issuing a $30 million fine to owner Steve Ballmer and suspensions for Ballmer, Lawrence Frank and Gillian Zucker, sources tell ESPN.
Kawhi Leonard will have to pay $700,000 in restitution for improper benefits by the Clippers for his uncle and former business rep, Dennis Robertson. No contract void or suspension for Leonard. And Robertson -- who was fired by Leonard in June -- is being banned by the NBA from all business dealings.
RIP, Peter.
Our team teared up hearing you record as Thaedus the first time, and our eyes are misty again now.
You’ll ALWAYS have a coalition of fans in us.
Rest easy, friend.
Optimus Prime: "There's more to them than meets the eye. I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars. We are here. We are waiting."
Rest in Peace, Peter Cullen.
Peter Cullen, best known for voicing Optimus Prime in both the original Transformers animated series and the live-action films, has died at the age of 85.
Getting from where this team was just 3 weeks ago to now is absolutely insane. There’s actual juice and life with the team now. None of teams ahead of us in the WC race should scare the Jays #BlueJays50
