I know there were many production issues, but it seems deeper than that, in regards to audiance interactions? It's hard to exactly pinpoint what went wrong

@Bri4nF I am Japanese. And I was lucky enough to attend the event on April 29.
I understand that you probably want to know exactly what happened that day, so I’d like to give you a few specific examples.

1. The event was supposed to start at 5:00 PM, but it began over an hour late.

Anime is more popular than ever. This year alone had two of the highest grossing animated movies to date at the box office — both of which are eligible for Oscar nominations.

Amazon’s choice to use AI to dub Banana Fish is a massive insult to us as performers. AI continues to threaten livelihoods of performers in EVERY language (yes even Japanese performers who are also incredibly vocal on this topic).

Voice Actors deserve the same level of respect as on camera performers. Anime already pays talent very little. Dub production costs shouldn’t make a dent in these companies’ pocket books.

Using AI for a dub of a show that released nearly 8 YEARS AGO AND HAD NO RUSHED SCHEDULE just spits in our faces, has infuriated the consumer, and completely destroys the art.

All they’ve done is make a shitty product and pissed off a lot of people. 🤷

To think that he’s gone at just 58 years old…

Yes, everyone dies eventually …that’s inevitable.
But you… isn’t it a bit too soon?

Didn’t you say you were going to defeat me someday?
Didn’t you come to my wedding, wearing your usual black leather jacket and sunglasses,
and call me your comrade-in-arms?
Didn’t you tell me to come to you whenever I was in trouble?

I never even got the chance to consult you about anything.

A powerful moment of Humanity!

After Detroit Lions player Maurice Norris suffered a brutal neck injury and was taken to the hospital from the field.

Both Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons agreed to snap the ball and let the clock run on out on the game with over 12 minutes left in the 4Q.

The game is officially suspended after the play went on for 6 minutes.
