“I don’t like it when Purdue (fans) blast Purdue.”
“We’re giving attention to people who really aren’t Purdue fans.”
3369 characters and Matt Painter summed it up better in 2 minutes’ time than I could dream of.
Love my GOAT.
My thoughts on Purdue and @3bradensmith and @PodRunningPoint .
We have 2 months left with this senior class. 2 months. They have brought us jubilation, excitement, sadness, frustration and everything else. There’s a group of people screaming that something that Braden wanted to do and asked to do is hurting this team. Those people are wrong. Rather than bitching about what a grown adult who works harder at his craft than anyone can fathom is doing in his free time, appreciate the time we, as fans, have left watching a generational point guard and undervalued superstar lead our favorite team. I’m tired of the hate, the doubt, the criticism and the couch coaches acting as though they know what is or isn’t the issue. These young men work their ass off every day. Don’t like the podcast? Great don’t watch it. Think it’s a mistake? Too bad it isn’t your choice. Hate Purdue players? Pick another team. But me, what I’m going to do, is take in every moment, good and bad, and cherish these last couple of months with the winningest senior class and best point guard in Purdue history.
Thanks for joining my Ted talk.
