A 24-year-old Muslim man, Ali Khan, was reportedly beaten to death after a dispute over a train seat in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

According to his family and friends, the argument began when another passenger allegedly tried to take Khan’s seat and claimed links to a right-wing organization.

Although the situation initially appeared to calm down, Khan’s companions say that when the train stopped at Bordehi railway station around midnight, a group of men pulled him off the train while chanting religious slogans and assaulted him on the platform, leading to his death.

Police have opened an investigation, but authorities have not yet announced any arrests.

During a protest by Hindu Rashtra Samanvaya Samiti, a speaker promoted the anti-Muslim conspiracy theories of “love jihad”, “corporate jihad” and “gym jihad.”

He warned that if Hindus start indulging in “love jihad”, no Muslim women would be left. He addressed Hindu women, claiming the Muslim man would remain nice only until marriage, and then will force them to wear burqa and hijab, force fed beef; and if they refuse, they would be stuffed in fridges and suitcases.

Hindu nationalist leader Chakravarty Sulibele, speaking at the Vishaala Hindu Samaavesha, delivered an anti-Muslim speech in which he claimed that Muslims view women as “things to be used.”

He alleged that, in the past, Hindu women were abducted, sexually abused, and sold in markets in the Middle East. He also promoted the conspiracy theory of “love jihad” and urged Hindus to educate their daughters about it.

Jharkhand High Court judge Sanjay Prasad and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari attend hate monger Suresh Chavhanke’s event as chief guests at the launch of his healthcare brand “Healthwadi.”

Chavhanke has delivered numerous hate speeches targeting religious minorities; according to the India Hate Lab report on hate speech events in India, he delivered 19 hate speeches in 2025, including three that contained explicit calls for violence against Muslims.
