Today marks my first 100 days as Chief of Mission for @IOM_Nigeria.
In this time, we have deepened collaboration with government counterparts & development partners to address humanitarian needs and advance sustainable development across Nigeria.
Home is more than a place. It’s a chance to begin again.
This week, with the support of @NigeriaGov and @EUinNigeria, over 180 Nigerians made the journey back home, safe, supported, and ready for a new start.

As we come together to celebrate Eid al-Adha, we are reminded of the importance of kindness, sacrifice, and unity.
May this season inspire hope and strengthen our shared commitment to humanity.
Eid Mubarak from IOM Nigeria🇳🇬🌙
A milestone for Africa’s climate mobility agenda: Côte d’Ivoire and Mauritania have signed the Kampala Declaration on Migration, Environment and Climate Change (KDMECC).
Now we must move from commitments to bankable investments & get #ClimateFinance to frontline communities.
Adamawa State continues to take important steps toward durable solutions for displaced communities.
This week’s engagement with the State Government highlighted both the progress made and the urgent gaps that still need attention.
Over 460 thousand people remain internally displaced across Benue State.
Shelter, water, and livelihoods are the basic needs.
Urgent investment is essential in advancing solutions that restore dignity and build long-term resilience.
Opening #IMRF2026 week with the Multi-stakeholder Hearing.
A strong reminder from the room: migration governance must stay grounded in people’s realities. Progress depends on how well we listen—and how seriously we act on what we hear.
Great to reconnect with my schoolmate @JoyKategekwa after many years since uni. Glad we discussed concrete @unmigration–@AfDB partnerships to boost regional integration, mobility & intra-African trade. Excited for what’s ahead. @iomnigeria#IntegrateAfrica
The Migration Dialogue for West Africa (MIDWA) is vital to shaping mobility that protects lives and drives progress.
IOM is proud to partner with @EU_Partnerships to support @ecowas_cedeao in this essential work.
A safe place. Clean water. A second chance.
This is what support looks like.
At @IOM_Nigeria, we’re working every day to support vulnerable communities across Nigeria.
Because everyone deserves safety, dignity, and a chance to rebuild.
Over 3.7 million people in Nigeria are still displaced.
This short film shows how lives are being rebuilt, and why the progress is still fragile.
Without sustained support, these gains will not last.
On #WorldHealthDay, we celebrate Joy, a 25-year-old midwife at Gyawana Primary Health Care Centre in #Adamawa, whose work is changing lives.
Her journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but her impact speaks volumes.

Eid Mubarak🌙
May this season bring peace to our hearts and strength to uplift those around us.
Let's continue to build societies guided by compassion and inclusivity, ensuring that no one is left behind.
IOM #Nigeria🇳🇬 wishes you a blessed and joyful celebration.
Eid Mubarak to all observing.
This year, millions mark Eid in displacement, still gathering in the spirit of community and giving despite their circumstances.
As we conclude this holy time, we owe not just our remembrance, but a continued effort to support them in rebuilding.
But the real story is not the numbers, it’s the lives rebuilt. In Benin City, I witnessed this firsthand through stories like Success, who rebuilt her life from running a small cosmetic shop to becoming a landlady.
Reintegration changes lives, and many still need this support.
This week, we reached 60,000 returns since the launch of IOM’s Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Programme in Nigeria in 2017, supported by @EUinNigeria.
Millions of people. One historic step toward dignity.
Congratulations to #Nigeria for domesticating the #Kampala Convention, a bold commitment to safeguarding rights and ensuring that "durable solutions" are a reality for millions of displaced persons.

In Edo State, we marked International Women’s Day with a clear message: women’s rights require action.
From justice and economic opportunity to protection from violence, our commitments must translate into tangible investment and meaningful partnerships.
#IWD
Women on the move deserve safety, dignity, and opportunity.
In this #IWD2026 video @IOM_Nigeria Rep @DimancheSh calls for Rights, Justice, and Action to ensure migrant women and girls are protected and empowered at every step of their journey.

Partnerships at the state level are essential to ensuring migration works for development and that communities are supported to build sustainable futures.
This meeting is one of many steps toward strengthening collaboration with @EdoStateGovt.
