🚨 BREAKING: NYSE announces new tokenization platform.
Here's what they're building:
A completely new trading venue with:
• 24/7 operations (no market hours)
• Instant settlement (not T+1)
• Stablecoin-based funding (not bank wires)
• "Tokens natively issued as digital securities"
Not retrofitting the existing exchange.
Not adding blockchain to the back office.
An entirely new venue.
---
Think about what this means:
NYSE will run two exchanges.
The old one: 9:30-4:00 EST, T+1 settlement, bank wires.
The new one: 24/7, instant settlement, stablecoin rails.
They're not choosing between traditional and digital.
They're operating both in parallel.
---
How does this compare to others?
Everyone else is building infrastructure to tokenize existing assets:
• DTCC tokenizes existing custodied securities
• State Street tokenizes MMFs and ETFs
• Nasdaq amends rules for tokenized trading alongside traditional
NYSE is building a new way to bring equities on-chain AND the venue to trade them.
This puts them in competition with Figure's OPEN and Superstate.
Native digital issuance. Native digital trading.
---
Tokenized stocks enable a world where:
• Settlement happens on-chain
• Custody lives in wallets, not DTCC
• Trading never stops
• Capital formation happens in stablecoins
The question for every institution:
Are you digitizing your existing business or building the business that replaces it?
NYSE just answered: both.

🚨🇩🇪 WHY THIS GERMAN ACTIVIST IS SEEKING ASYLUM IN THE U.S. - WITH SUPPORT FROM ELON & REP. LUNA
@naomiseibt was charged with a hate crime in Germany for criticizing illegal immigration. She was tracked by intelligence, got death threats by Antifa, and told by police they couldn’t protect her unless she was physically attacked.
We discuss:
• How Germany is raiding homes over tweets
• Why satire and criticism are now treated as crimes
• How AI is being used to scan social media for political dissent
• Why even flying the German flag can get you investigated
• And how she says America became her only safe option
Naomi says voices like @elonmusk give her hope that free speech still has defenders.
01:02 🇧🇷 HOW IT BEGAN: She explains how joining Mario’s Spaces during Brazil’s election protests in 2022 sparked her rise as a journalist.
01:37 🇩🇪 THE ASYLUM DECISION: She details applying for asylum in the U.S. after discovering German intelligence spied on her for years.
03:40 🇩🇪 SURVEILLED SINCE 19: Her phone calls were intercepted by federal police, and documents confirm over 1,000 records of her name in German intelligence files.
05:35 🇩🇪 THE AFD LABEL: Mario recalls how Germany’s AfD party was branded “extremist,” giving intelligence agencies power to monitor anyone connected to it.
05:50 🇩🇪 WHY THEY TARGETED HER: She says it began when she opposed mass migration and questioned climate policies, earning the label “anti-Greta Thunberg.”
07:59 🇩🇪 BECOMING A TARGET: Speaking out for freedom at 18 made her one of Germany’s first young conservative voices against Merkel’s policies.
09:17 🇩🇪 CRIMINALIZING CRITICISM: She reveals how Germans now face charges under Article 188 for “insulting politicians,” even for posting emojis.
11:28 🇩🇪 NO ACCOUNTABILITY: Mario asks how democracy survives when citizens can’t criticize leaders without prosecution.
12:30 🇩🇪 HATE SPEECH ACTION DAYS: Police conduct nationwide raids against “offensive” social media posts to intimidate citizens into silence.
13:58 🇪🇺 FREEDOM COLLAPSE: She explains how Europe’s censorship is worse than ever while Americans still defend free speech.
14:35 🇺🇸 AMERICA VS EUROPE: In the U.S., patriotism unites both left and right, but in Germany, flying the national flag is seen as hate speech.
15:43 🇩🇪 PATRIOTISM AS A CRIME: She describes federal investigations into citizens who displayed German flags.
17:08 🇩🇪 LOGIC UNDER FIRE: Mario questions why defending national identity or legal immigration now triggers government surveillance.
17:45 🇩🇪 REPORTING ANTIFA: She tells how Antifa harassment forced her to call police, who confirmed the perpetrators but took no action.
18:53 🇩🇪 POLICE INACTION: Authorities refused to investigate her threats but charged her for criticizing illegal immigration.
19:51 🇺🇸 SUPPORT FROM THE U.S.: She credits Elon Musk and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna for encouraging her fight for free speech.
21:35 🇩🇪 CHARGED FOR A TWEET: She reveals a new letter from German police confirming she’s officially charged with a hate crime over one of her posts.
22:00 🇩🇪 SUPPORT NETWORK: She shares that Alice Weidel and others are coordinating with Luna to help persecuted German dissidents.
22:56 🇩🇪 CLOSING: Mario calls the story a warning to all democracies about how censorship spreads when people stay silent.

Feels like nobody's ready for what @cosmos EVM unlocks...
I barely see any threads on my timeline.
Should I drop an ELI5? 👀
$ATOM will unlock huge use cases—people don't get it yet.
Is it time to talk about it?
I'm super excited about this!
TAC is the first chain building on the official Cosmos EVM, giving apps an EVM env to access telegram users
Now its easy for anyone to run the Hyperliquid playbook now: Launch an L1 with a native app, wrap it in the EVM to build an ecosystem.
So a DEX on $SUI hacked, users lose AGAIN.
BUUUT we just gotta accept it and the usual "don't risk more than you can afford to lose" but we expect "mass adoption" with zero safety mechanisms/protocols to protect users. Fucking joke.
This is exactly why everyone has given up, either left, moved to just holding $BTC or been wiped out.
People are absolutely fed up with this shit and it shows in the charts.
My thoughts around Stargaze, and Cosmos M&A.
I am really excited about the prospect of Stargaze being acquired by the Hub. However, M&A in crypto (i.e. when one blockchain buys another) is challenging, and I anticipate some back-and-forth on hammering out a deal.
Right now, there is a movement in Cosmos to consolidate chains into the Hub, which I view as purely a good thing. Consolidation means unity, strength, and incentive alignment. This is not anti the app-chain thesis, in the same way that traditional M&A is not anti new businesses. Some applications make sense as app-chains, but many are actually served better being closeby and composable with other apps. I think we should do more of it.
In this case, Stargaze has a relatively small market cap compared to ATOM (2.7m as of this writing). This makes it possible to purchase with the ATOM Community Pool, which has $36m in ATOM. For larger acquisitions (i.e. $20m+), this would require a mint of new ATOM to cover the price, inflating the supply. Because a new mint is not required in this case, it makes things easier.
One thing that's really important to me is that this would be the first, and last, acquisition we do from the Community Pool. It's important that the Community Pool is not viewed as an exit-package to other projects. In this case, however, I view it as highly synergistic, and beneficial to the Hub's upcoming permissionless VM. I will not, as a blanket statement, support any acquisitions from the CP after this.
In terms of structure, there are a couple things that are really important to me for any kind of acquisition, including Stargaze:
1. Independence: i.e. the ICL is not expected to assist with maintenance or development (we do not have the resources).
2. Sustainability: i.e. the CP/ICL/ICF is not expected to assist with further funding as grants or otherwise
3. Integration: i.e. the team getting acquired commits to milestones to rebuild and integrate their application into the Hub
4. Hub-centrism: i.e. the app is using the Hub as their hub, meaning they do not deploy their core product in other places, except perhaps if they are non-core "outposts" that are managed by their core deployment on the Hub.
5. ATOM-based economics: i.e. the app should use a meaningful (20%+) of its revenue to benefit ATOM. If ATOM acquires the project, then their token should be ATOM.
6. Milestone-based funding: A large (50%+) portion of the acquisition funds should be contingent upon milestones, such as completed integration, volume, UX, etc. The Hub should never buy something, only to have the team leave/disengage afterwards.
7. Market-cap-based valuation: I have heard sometimes that the "token" does not reflect the value of the project. This may or may not be true, but if you start separating the project from the token, things get really messy. In my mind, the token of a project is the market-decided value of the entirety of the project. I am not, however, against modest premiums to encourage good actions post-acquisition like holding/staking etc. If purchasing a token means meaningful portion of the product are left out (i.e. the revenue, frontend, TVL), I think the Hub should not do it.
Very excited to bring the Bad Kids home, and I look forward to helping with the proposal!
