@KatieJonesMpls Katie doesnt dare come to our neighborhood after writing several articles to help a developer overcome the will of the rest of our entire neighborhood who tryed to stop the building of an apartment in the middle of the block.
@natehoodstp Why do you feel its ok to use a slur like NIMBY? You use this like the N word, to call out people you don't like or you feel are beneath you. Someday your kids might check your feed and see this.
@nathan_bakken@BillLindeke the mpls 2040 plan is a scam to help developers to gentrify single family neighborhoods. it didnt help bipoc familys, it didnt lower rents, bad for the environment, it didnt help the homeless, and now they want to eliminate neighborhood comp plans to silence peoples opinions
@natehoodstp@mitrajunjalali Nice to see a city council who listens to its actual constituents, who live in and care about their neighborhoods. Allowing SFH neighborhoods to become side hustles for a few privileged people is why housing is so screwed up now.
@realEstateTrent How is it previous generations fault? They bought a home, just like what you want to do now. If they move, they would have to pay the high interest rates too. Should they have asked for a higher interest rate? What about the people before us that got free acres of land?
@citizen_pack@botoxedbuddhist Seriously!? Someone who bought a home in a place you want to live, is evil. Most of us were just trying to house our families. Now were are vilified and call developers new N word...NIMBY because you think you have a claim to something we paid for.
@robin4mpls We all know this will be another win for developers as they will never fine them for vacancies and will just end up claiming the need more single family homes to rezone so developers can gentrify another neighborhood.
