@DamienRactliffe Well only way to make it a truly fair competition is either play everyone once and flip the fixture the season after or play everyone twice which would be impossible.
If they have 8 state of origin matches in the while month of June for example it would generate huge numbers

@DamienRactliffe Just play everyone once. Then have 7th vs 10th and 8th vs 9th play off for the 2 last finals positions. The following year reverse the fixture so each team plays at their home grounds every other year against any specific opposition.
Bring is state of origin comp mid season.
