Boy's not accessed education since July 24. He'd fight me to not to go to great settings!
Last week he began Diamonds. CAMHS worried attachment issues due to complex medical trauma n delay would impact.
The boy loves it & asked to go every day!
Didn't bat an eye when I left!
Artist yes, but a mother first!

I believe they're hoping parents will just give up at the first refusal to assess, (too many have) . Even when it's obvious that the child needs it.
The barriers parents face just to get support for their child has increased over the years. Unacceptable!
Supported a lot of families through this process. The legal timelines no longer apply. Applications for assessment are initially turned down (even with school supporting the application),which leads to the mediation process, then assessment is agreed.
