Powers Catholic scored 8 straight to open up a 17-7 lead early in the 2nd qtr, but Hartland slowly whittled away at the margin until eventually tying it at 33 in the 3rd. Powers scored 10 straight, capped by an Evah Smith score inside to open the 4th qtr scoring, to push it back out to double-digits at 43-33, but Hartland responded with 8 straight to pull back within 2.
After another Evah Smith score inside, Hartland got back-to-back triples from Brin Neuer and Addison Trammel, and a FT by Madelyn Jenkins to forge their biggest lead at 48-45. A Powers' 3 from fr Presley Schriner tied it at 48 and we got bonus basketball on Christmas Eve Eve.

After a defensive stop, Kendyl Smith went went to the FT line where she hit the first. Evah Smith battled for the board on the 2nd shot and scored the putback to extend it to 58-51. Kaitlyn Brennan scored on a putback on the other end and Kendyl Smith hit 2 more FTs to finish the scoring. Powers Catholic pulls out the 60-53 OT win.

Congratulations to our three players that made the all-tournament team from the Winter Series! Both @mccrary_zariya and Jillian Sanderson (@sanderson_jenn ) made the 2nd team and Evah Smith was HM. Keep working and stay focused! @stormAAU@MichHSBball@MittenRecruit
Next up we shine the spotlight on Evah Smith! Comes from a strong basketball family, mom coaches in the Kearsley school district and dad is one of the original “Flintstones”(Antonio Smith). Evah has been with our team for all 3 sessions and we’re happy to have her!
