This season, he's:
- mesmerized by sophie
- deeply in love
- yearning and stuttering
- horny
- suicidal
- mad at everyone who gets in his and sophie's way
- CRASHING OUT AS FUCK
- diabolical
- baby to sophie
I fear the Bridgerton writers overestimated the audience’s ability to understand the dilemma…
They should’ve either softened the mistress offer with more dialogue or released all 8 episodes at one time.
Because the amount of bad takes is astounding.
#BridgertonS4
Tell me you don’t understand Bridgerton without telling me you don’t understand Bridgerton, it’s almost too easy
The reasons and/or repercussions for a mistress are explored in literally the 1st season and spelled out word for word more than once in S4 so far 🤦🏻♀️
Did the Bridgerton romance really come back with this? Benedict briefly gave Sophie hope for love and a better life — but as his mistress, not his wife. What a tragedy!
ppl saying benedict doesn't truly love or care for sophie when the show has been VERY clear about the consequences of him marrying her and what leads to him making the offer. he genuinely thinks it's the best he can offer her in those circumstances
that’s the whole point ? the class difference ? he’s of nobility, she’s a maid. in benedict’s mind (and societal expectations) he thinks for now, sophie being his mistress is the only way they can be together
