“To the Women Who Built Me—Piece by Piece.” Every International Women’s Day, I find myself looking back—not just at the milestones, the progress, or the glass ceilings still waiting to shatter—but at the women who got me here. The ones who held me up, pushed me forward, or unknowingly left their mark—even the ones who were just passing by. There’s my Gazetta team, a force of nature. These women are rewriting the rules, raising the bar, and making magic happen every single day. They’re the kind of people you want in your corner—bold, brilliant, and completely unstoppable. And today, I couldn’t be prouder to reveal Gazetta’s first social media cover, “A Glimpse of Girls in 2050.” A vision of the future we’re shaping right now—where girls step into power without hesitation, because the women before them made damn sure they could! There’s my mother, the woman who taught me that strength isn’t always loud, but it’s always steady. My late grandmothers, whose lessons still echo in my choices. My aunties, who, in their own ways, have shaped the woman I’ve become, sometimes without even realizing it. There’s my sister, the definition of tough love, who never let me take the easy way out, even when I wanted to. The one who challenged me, pushed me, and reminded me that sometimes love isn’t about making things softer—it’s about making you stronger. Then there are my cousins and friends, the sisters I chose. The ones who laugh with me, cry with me, and remind me that no matter how chaotic life gets, we always find our way back to each other. And let’s not forget the women who came and went—the ones who walked into my life for a season, left an impact, and moved on. Some taught me lessons. Some tested me. Some reminded me of my own resilience. Not all of them stayed, but all of them mattered. So today, I celebrate them all. The fighters, the dreamers, the storytellers, the nurturers, the disruptors. The women who make the world better just by existing. Because if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this: None of us get anywhere alone. And the girls of 2050?
