These photos were taken when I last visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. It was amazing to be there with mom. A heartfelt thank you to the sweet guy who took our pictures and then instantly air dropped the pictures to mom’s phone before I could react 🤣 I guess I was meant to post these today.

While it’s important to support our students and ask for educational reforms that positively impact the future of our youth, it’s also very important that peaceful protests by students are Not hijacked by anti national elements to create chaos & change the nature of the protest.

Seeing so much hate & divide online makes me wonder if bad elements in & outside our country have already started to work overtime to weaponise the anger & frustration felt by our students.

I have always believed in hard work, equality and excellence & that should never be compromised. I also believe in our democracy, law and order & our government, therefore I sincerely hope that both sides enter into meaningful & constructive dialogue & weed out any nefarious elements & agendas out of this protest & conversation , so the future is bright for our youth and for our democracy ! 🇮🇳 Jai Hind !

अगर यह वास्तव में छात्रों का आंदोलन था, तो क्या वहाँ मौजूद छात्र इतने भी जागरूक नहीं थे कि सार्वजनिक संपत्ति को नुकसान नहीं पहुँचाना चाहिए? सरकारी संपत्ति आखिर जनता की ही संपत्ति होती है। उसे नुकसान पहुँचाना किसी भी आंदोलन को सही नहीं ठहराता।

और जो लोग संसद की ओर बढ़ रहे थे, क्या किसी भी देश की सुरक्षा एजेंसियाँ उन्हें बिना रोके आगे जाने देतीं? संसद देश की सबसे संवेदनशील संस्थाओं में से एक है। उसे सुरक्षित रखना पुलिस की जिम्मेदारी है। अगर हालात ऐसे बन जाएँ कि भीड़ को रोकने के लिए बल प्रयोग करना पड़े, तो वह कानून-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने की प्रक्रिया का हिस्सा हो सकता है।

जहाँ तक मेरी समझ है, यह आंदोलन छात्रों के मुद्दे से कहीं ज़्यादा राजनीतिक दिखाई दिया। मुझे यह एक शुद्ध छात्र आंदोलन नहीं लगा। मुझे लगा कि छात्रों के मुद्दे का इस्तेमाल कुछ राजनीतिक दलों और चेहरों को फिर से प्रासंगिक बनाने के लिए किया गया। मेरी नज़र में आम आदमी पार्टी भी इसी ?
