Return to Lara's roots with expanded, modernized gameplay in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, coming to PS5 on February 12, 2027 https://t.co/drNgprgqdx
@MasonBingham Bad implementation caused by CD. I’m afraid that the same thing will happen again with LoA and Catalyst!
God help this poor franchise ❤️❤️
@xIWanderlustIx Her face is beautiful ❤️❤️, but she lacks the iconic poses that Lara used to do. Also I really want her whole body to have feminine athletic look something closer to Underworld’s or TR4.
Crystal Dynamics quickly responded to Eurogamer on AI use in Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, stating that "all finished content in the final product is human-crafted", which is somewhat reassuring. It’s a first good step toward transparency, though it still needs to be clearer.
Asha Sharma via Bloomberg:
"We are increasingly becoming a platform and in order to be a platform you must have exclusive content and services. We are looking into that, we have to be very thoughtful about each title and learn from similar cases in the industry."
@theGeekBrocade Only time will tell . The fandom has a few talented artists and developers that they could analyze to determine how much AI was used in the base of the game. I don’t think Crystal Dynamics will risk it this time, because their reputation will be fked up for good.
What I understand is that they initially used it to conceptualize the world of the game to give them a quick idea of how it’d look like before commencing into full production with real humans away from AI. I’m not fully familiar with game development, but I do think using AI is much faster than drawing concepts by hand.
