As social media continues to be an integral part of our daily lives, it’s essential that it be used not only to connect socially, but as a source of truth for key information; particularly to young people. Noting that the budget and its particulars are complex, this year, I invited 4 Bermudian social media personalities, each with a unique following and distinct voice, for 1:1 interviews to answer questions and take a deep dive into the issues close to them and their audiences.

I really enjoyed these collaborations and I hope these conversations can offer valuable bite sized chunks of information about the work that the @BdaGovernment does each day on behalf of the people of Bermuda and especially our young people.

These collaborations will be released as a 4-part series ‘Candid Convos With the Premier' and will feature: @DionTheCreative, @stfucarly, @qiandickinson and Yassine the Artist. We’ll be covering a range of topics that are currently generating a lot of interest and discussion, such as:

- “Why doesn’t Bermuda have ApplePay?”

- “What are the Government’s plans to help promote local creatives?”

- “Who is Bermuda in debt to?”

- “What education opportunities are there for adults?”

- “What did the Auditor General report get wrong?”

- “Does the Government have any plans to help revitalise St. George’s?”

- “What will happen to the empty school buildings?”
