BOND INVESTORS WARN TREASURY OVER HASSETT AS FED CHAIR
Bond investors have told the US Treasury they are worried that Kevin Hassett, if appointed Federal Reserve chair in 2026, would cut interest rates too aggressively to please President Trump.
During November consultations with major banks, asset managers, and the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee, several market participants said they preferred more independent candidates such as Rick Rieder or Fed Governor Christopher Waller.
Investors also expressed doubts about Hassett’s ability to lead a divided Fed board. Economist Claudia Sahm noted his success would depend on “which Kevin Hassett shows up,” while fund manager John Stopford said markets already view him as “a Trump stooge,” risking lasting damage to the Federal Reserve’s credibility.
🇵🇱🇨🇳 POLAND BUYS MORE GOLD THAN CHINA - AND YES, THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU THINK
While Beijing talks multipolarity, Warsaw's quietly stacking gold bars like it's prepping for the next Cold War and currency collapse.
Poland just bought nearly 67 tons of gold this year, more than any country on Earth, outpacing China, India, and all the usual suspects.
Why? Because “gold is the only safe asset,” says central bank chief Adam Glapiński, meaning: “We don’t trust anyone, especially your central bank.”
Their goal? 30% of reserves in gold. They're at 24% now. Do the math, that’s another 150 tons coming.
Turns out Poland doesn’t just fear Russia. It fears the Fed too.
