No one hated Sam Wilson when he was Falcon. He was the voice of reason, honest, and stuck to his morals. He was a true hero that should have been allowed to grow in his mantle.

If you want the truth, the writers turned him into a completely jackass after Steve gave him the shield. First he tried dumping it on the Smithsonian, then was a jerk to Bucky who was going throw an adjustment period and lost his only friend, then treated John like a villain despite it being obvious John had serious PTSD issues and Sam use to council former military personal who dealt with it, then there was the lecture how terrorist had ever right to kill innocent people, and now he is mad Bucky has a Avenger team so he is suing.

Personally, I like who Sam was when he was Falcon better.

It’s good for everyone that women’s rights proponents in the past changed laws such that women could own property, have their own bank accts, etc. That is what “feminism” means to me. The legal playing field was made even.
All the rest of this stuff where men are “bad,” and marriage and kids is some kind of prison, and subscribing to crazy ideas is not any type of feminism to me. It’s rather resentment, insecurity, and mental instability.
There’s no “either you become a devoted housewife and mother and eviscerate your personality and personal hopes and dreams” or “be single your whole life and never have kids and be a ‘boss girl’ and hammer your career.” Those are just silly reductions to some cartoon characters.
Of course you can marry and have children and hold very satisfying jobs and have a husband whom you love and support, as he loves and supports you. You can have children while pursuing things that professionally interest you. These things aren’t “sacrificing your freedom.” That’s silly. They are elements of life that enrich you. They are avenues of experience that bring you closer to a really full picture of who you are, for both the man and the woman.
Don’t believe people saying it’s got to be one way or the other. It’s just nonsense.

Anime just lost a veteran behind Akira, Death Note, Naruto and today’s biggest isekai titles.

Director and animator Yūji Yanase has passed away at 59. His death was announced today by the production committees behind The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for the Throne and The World’s Strongest Rearguard, two currently airing anime he directed. Their staffs expressed deep gratitude for his work and sorrow over his sudden passing.

Yanase spent decades working across nearly every level of anime production. His extensive credits included:

• Akira — In-Between Animation
• Death Note — Key Animation
• Hellsing — Animation Director
• Chobits — Animation Director
• Naruto: Shippuden — Episode Direction
• Pokémon XY — Episode Direction
• Macross 7 — Key Animation
• Aria the Animation — Animation Director
• Symphogear — Animation Director
• Saint Seiya Omega — Animation Director

He later became especially known as a series director, leading anime including In Another World With My Smartphone, If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord, By the Grace of the Gods, In the Land of Leadale, My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1, I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History, and Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra. His directing career began with Himegoto in 2014.

His final chapter is especially bittersweet, with two series under his direction still airing when news of his passing was announced.

Rest in peace, Yūji Yanase. From animator to director, his work quietly became part of decades of anime history. 🕊️
