Hey if you're still on this website, I did another speedrun thing, absolutely smashed the old time after hours and hours of turmoil https://t.co/dvuJQjclVP
@jaykay287@ARIA_Official This was mentioned in the FAQ they released with the first announcement https://t.co/JCrDs2Uf0L I think it's good they're not changing it. Album tracks very rarely actually cost any artists a spot on the chart nowadays because everything hangs around long enough to get a turn.
@thebenz96 I just saw Ant-Man and The Wasp this week and there was a bit in it where someone said it, and said 'y'know, from the old commercials' and no one understood it
might be a new generation's only exposure to it now.
Oh, if you want to see me writing more about music, specifically ranking the 1,000 songs that made triple j's Hottest 100 from 2013 to 2022, I have a blog here where I'm doing just that https://t.co/LtUqnBpdnQ #hottest100
(I'm still more likely to post on the similar site)
@MedvedevMeddler I feel like these analogies don't work because you can flip the result and use the same data to prove the opposite point.
Dems win: 'see, that's why '...Small Town', despite being a #1 hit was just a flash in the pan that wasn't very popular, it just represents a loud minority
@thebenz96 When people are critical of easy target artists getting good reviews, what's the pie chart breakdown on:
a. listened to it, thinking it would be good, was disappointed
b. listened to it, didn't think it would be good, was validated by themselves
c. obviously didn't listen to it
@thebenz96 Further reinforced when I had a tweet recently get decent engagement and I think not a single like I got was from a blue tick. It's such a small, overly promoted minority of garbage dispensers
@thebenz96 Now replies are just clogged up with ticks and the unescapable context in which people pay money to try to be rewarded for saying dumb shit that makes people react. It's funny to think about but not really to engage with.
