Blood stained gloves were delivered in #RGKar Medical College and Hospitals’ Trauma care unit. How is that possible? The question was raised by the junior doctors of RG Kar. The possibility of infection remains if the patients are treated wearing those gloves.

RG Kar intern doctor,Debarun Sarkar came across blood-stained gloves while treating a patient. He said, “An HIV patient came to the hospital. So I asked for gloves to draw his blood. The first glove out of the packet was dirty. I thought someone working at night had accidentally left it with the new gloves. I threw away that glove and took another glove. I also saw blood stains. Almost all the gloves in that pack have the same problem. On asking the nurse, she said that the packet was opened on Thursday morning. In other words, blood-stained gloves came to the hospital.”

Health Secretary Narayan Swarup Nigam wants to investigate the allegations of junior doctors. He has ordered the Central Medical Store to investigate.
