A group of Y7/8 @Hollyhouse45 students visited @FASTSIGNS Sheffield for an insight into the signage, graphic design & printing industry.

They were welcomed by owner Martin, & took part in a hands-on activity to produce their own signs.

It was a rare chance to see behind the scenes of a huge distribution hub and the robot pickers.

Working in teams, students got stuck into a range of real-life town planning activities - led by local employers - based on the 2023 Chesterfield floods.

Another great few weeks on the #fusionlearning programme with @EngLearnUK.

The students @HHS_School @shireacademy @bolsover_school @FrederickGent have been making miniature dragonflies before making a bigger version that will be transported to @pleasleypt upon completion.

Last week, seven Gateway 1 students from @Ashgate_Croft had a #careersmadeinchesterfield visit to @thomas_bow at the Market Square, Chesterfield. They found out about the company and looked at the renovation work they are carrying out on behalf of @ChesterfieldBC.
