This sentence from Carl Jung hits hard.
“No matter how isolated you are and how lonely you feel, if you do your work truly and conscientiously, unknown friends will come and seek you.”
Major cheat code for life: Every pattern in your life repeats until you learn the lesson. The moment you choose differently, the loop ends and growth begins.
There’s a certain level of peace and freedom that comes with the thought of knowing you could die any day, and the simulation would be over.
When viewing life from this perspective, you start to realize how taking life too seriously is pointless. Being afraid to fail or embarrass yourself matters less when at the end of the day all the things you see and feel won’t exist anymore.
Of course know one knows for sure what comes after we die, but while we’re alive, maybe we spend less time worrying and more time doing everything we want without fear of failure or embarrassment? Maybe we spend more time trying to look and feel our most confident? Maybe we spend more time in trying new things and seeing how far you can go when the fear of failing isn’t holding you back? Maybe we stop worrying about who thinks what of us when we for sure will not remember that moment when we pass on from existence?
I think existence is both bliss and tragedy, make the most out of it, go out on your own terms knowing you tried and didn’t give a fuck.
