Don’t act the emotion; experience it.

Overacting happens when you try to show the audience what your character feels. Great acting happens when the audience discovers what the character feels.

Control your voice. Control your body.

A script gives you words.

A director must discover the world behind those words.

Don't just ask, “What happens in this scene?”

Ask:

“Why does it happen?”
“What does the character really want?”
“What should the audience feel?”
“What can I show without saying a word?”

A camera can capture a beautiful image, but a beautiful image doesn't automatically create a great film.

A director must know:

Why is this shot necessary?
What should the audience feel?
What is the character hiding?
What must remain unsaid?

Every frame should have a reason.

Before you speak a single word, the audience is already reading you.

So don't just memorize your lines.

Train your body. Control your emotions. Understand your character.

Because sometimes, the most powerful performance is the moment when you say nothing at all.
