@CoachPapaJohn Yeah it defo was a surprise outcome on the day. He fell away after that win too which adds to the narrative that it was so out the blue.
@Mikeyboi9@californiacpa21@MarkoGreen80@BBCSport I was pointing out to the first reply, who is a GB News fan saying rai was first Indian winner not English, he technically not first Indian winner as hes English, or if going by heritage Vijay is Indian too. Think people have misunderstood what I was pointing out.
@CoachPapaJohn Danny Willet was a top 10 player when he won the masters, people forget that. But agree with rest. Remember Ben Curtis, Todd Hamilton and Paul Lawrie too at the time.
@RKooner89@FredSma02166500@BBCSport@BBCSPORTNI Just wait till tomorrow when the rest of them wake up and see the tweet’s congratulating him. Be fuming over a player in a sport they never watch.
@FredSma02166500@BBCSport@BBCSPORTNI Knew it wouldn’t take you lot to notice this and comment like that. It was nice while it lasted and golf fans commented congratulating him.
@AlexCheshire12@Slide_AM@julie_at_law There’s a massive backlash over this. I don’t care about the casting of whoever in what. Ive only corrected people who were factual incorrect.
@user18382764@SkySportsGolf To be honest a lot of people are saying they dont like he uses iron covers (I a bit guilty of it too) but this explains why he uses them. Put me in my place. So maybe that’s why sky out it out.
@GOATSlammers@PGATOUR@PGAChampionship Wasn’t my choice of preferred winner even as an Englishman, but wouldnt say it was a bad result?! Hes been a top player for a few years now.
