Last night TX-TF2 deployed a Type-3 Urban Search & Rescue team to Matador, TX, after a tornado hit their community. Also, TX-TF1 US&R members deployed to support ongoing response in Northeast TX, where people are without power during record heat temperatures. #TXTF2#TXTF1#TEEX
Today OES deployed a mission ready package made of of 16 members from Oakland CATF-4.
The team responded to Hollister, for a report of 4 people trapped on their roof top from rushing flood water. CATF-4 escorted 20 adults, some elderly, and 5 dogs to safety.
This took us over 20 hours to rescue both him and a female. The team broke through the building next door to tunnel in. A career defining rescue that’s was very emotional 🇹🇷🇬🇧🫶🏽

Yesterday, people in Adana #Türkiye stayed silent so that emergency workers could hear where survivors were located under the debris.

17 EU countries 🇦🇹🇧🇬🇭🇷🇨🇿🇪🇪🇫🇷🇬🇷🇭🇺🇮🇹🇲🇹🇳🇱🇵🇱🇷🇴🇸🇰🇪🇸🇵🇹🇩🇪 together with 🇦🇱🇲🇪 have offered 25 search & rescue and 2 emergency medical teams.
1155 rescuers & 72 search 🐕🦺 are heading to 🇹🇷, the first teams having arrived yesterday.
Tonight, 82 members of the LACoFD’s USAR team are being deployed as USA-2, requested by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance.
They are headed to Turkey to help with life-saving assistance, joining USA-1 from Fairfax Co., VA.
#LACoFD USA-2 has been activated by @usaid and is deploying to the Turkey earthquake. The deployment team will consist of 81 personnel, 6 K9 teams, and 3 structural engineers. A press conference is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at 12605 Osborne St. Pacoima CA 91331.
