I believe under “ball don’t lie” rules, we can stop debating whether the Balogun red card suspension was fishy because the Belgian dominance has spoken.
@mmpadellan Trump falling asleep all over the place is nearly as laughable as your comprehension skills. The Establishment Clause does not equal separation of church and state. Properly understood, it is a distinction between the two, not a separation.
@CoachGilly6 Between Josh Allen drawing roughing calls and SGA drawing phantom fouls, this is the way sports go. Flopping is rewarded and players catch on. Soccer’s just been around longer than those other sports so they’re further along the flop scale. You’re a fool if you don’t see this.
@JackWolfgangPI@Devon_Eriksen_@BiggsDarklight6@virgilwalker to anyone who knows the characters. Devon’s criticism hinges on the ignorance of the reader. It’s actually a great title if you know who Virgil and Karmelo are.
Advocating for a race to the bottom for clicks and views seems foolish to me. Not everyone thinks bigger is better.
@JackWolfgangPI@Devon_Eriksen_@BiggsDarklight6@virgilwalker I’ve written music commercially, not articles though. I’m realistic about the foolishness of catchy titles/headlines and the link between weak substance and a focus on brand and marketing.
If George Washington had written “I could’ve been Benedict Arnold” it would be compelling.
@JackWolfgangPI@Devon_Eriksen_@BiggsDarklight6@virgilwalker There’s a reason the adage is “don’t judge a book by its cover”
It’s a weak critique to say the title doesn’t convey the essays intentionality because it certainly does. The actual critique is that it can illicit ignorant responses from cursory readers. I’d fault the readers.
@Devon_Eriksen_@BiggsDarklight6@virgilwalker And indicative of you not knowing much about who Virgil is and what he is about and what the article is about.
Sometimes silence is the wiser choice.
@B1TuckerCarlson@Lostsockbs Yes, I remember when I was in track and wrapped my ankle in tape, then used an AK-47 to tear through it. Common practice. I still carry a machete around at work in case I need to open envelopes.
@DDarrelDouglas@MythosofLogos@douglaswils Not sure if your contextual ignorance is deliberate or sincere but Phil 1:18 is a rhetorical question that is answered in the negative whereas Rom 6:1 is not.
@TheEXECUTlONER_ It’s called a package unit because the entire system is put into a single package instead of being split into an outdoor unit (compressor and condenser coil) and an indoor unit (fan and evaporator coil). Most likely done because the attic was too tight to fit a unit in there.
A WSJ analysis found 67% of Polymarket profits goes to just 0.1% of accounts, while most traders are in the red. Most Kalshi users also lose money. https://t.co/jeEJ57FlYo via @WSJ
