Someone made a game where I kidnap Stallman.
It appears to have been written by a very angry Trans person (a dude who thinks he's a lady).
It's a DOS text based game. Written in Pascal. With, based on the screenshots, lots of swearing.
I'm documenting it here because... well... huh.

If you're an IT Admin and you're not using deception in your environment, you're really missing out.
Some of my favorite "decoys":
- unattend.xml file with fake creds
- mremoteng config file on a file share with fake creds
- javascript on m365 login pages to detect cloning
- fake kerberoastable service account
Just to name a few...
To remind people; here’s some evidence of what a 5 minute capture is like on a public WiFi network.
This wasn’t in the lab, this was a real network with real client devices and real humans.
People sometimes say about DNs but they ignore the fact they are using Google dns servers, Facebook and other apps that are doing the tracking of you anyway 🤣 some random criminal within 20m of you isn’t trying to capture ur dns, they would be mayor trying to work out if they could steal ur phone 📱 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fixing Windows, one kilobyte at a time.
Back in the NT days, Notepad was lean, fast, and stayed in its lane. Today? It wants an account, cloud sync, and Copilot’s opinion.
So I did what any retired OS engineer would do: rebuilt it from scratch.
2,686 bytes. Full features. Zero bloat. Pure Win32.
All in assembly language.
No telemetry. No nonsense. Just the Notepad you remember — only smaller than the thumbnail image!
Would love to hear what you think — and what other “impossible” tiny apps we should tackle next.
One of my proudest open source libraries, Earcut, just got a big refresh — now 55% faster on average (and up to 3x faster on complex polygons with many holes), and comes with a new refine function that updates any triangulation to Delaunay quality. Also got open issues to zero ✨
Let me be honest. The story of Moses and the rock used to mean nothing to me as a Muslim.
The people are dying of thirst in the desert.
God tells Moses to strike a rock, and water pours out to save them. Exodus 17.
Cool miracle. Moving on. That’s how I read it.
Then I read what Paul wrote about it.
“They drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:4.
The rock was struck once, and life poured out for everyone dying.
But here’s the part that wrecked me.
Later, the people are thirsty AGAIN. And this time God says don’t strike it — just speak to it. Numbers 20:8.
Moses strikes it anyway. And God is furious. It costs Moses the Promised Land.
Why such a harsh punishment over hitting a rock twice?
Because the Rock is only ever struck ONCE.
Christ was struck one time for sin. After that, you don’t strike Him again. You just speak to Him.
Moses broke the picture before anyone understood it.
Islam handed me a water miracle.
The Bible handed me the Rock that was struck so I’d never thirst again.
The later recons obscure this, but Halo’s Human-Covenant war is absolutely a mythologization (not 1:1 allegory) of the ascendant Church and its contention with the Pharisees.
John, who is both savior and apostle, is the exceptional seed of the creator race which the Covenant worships. He comes to fulfill what the Forerunners built while thwarting the misguided zeal of the (old) Covenant to make way for the new reign.
The arbiter being chief persecutor of “heretics” only to then join them after a conversion is, as the quoted post suggests, a strong parallel with St. Paul.
Not to be too political; @HunterBiden is a literal fucking crackhead. Just because you get sober doesn't mean you're not still a drug addict - Signed a 10 year sober addict.
22 year old fitness influencers tell you that you need 8 hours of sleep, stretching followed by a good warm up, train scientifically, the sauna, a cold plunge and no microplastics
Most fathers are running on 5 hours of sleep, 400mg of caffeine, a quick warm up, crush a lift, meat & potatoes & disciple to get through the day
The world was built by men who showed up tired, not by men waiting for perfect conditions
You can crash your yard's mosquito population without spraying a single chemical with a Mosquito Bucket of Doom.
Fill a 5-gallon bucket about two-thirds with water. Drop in a handful of grass clippings, leaves, or hay. Let it sit for a day, then drop in a Bti dunk (also called Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, sold at any hardware store as "mosquito dunks," about $10 for six).
Mosquitoes are powerfully attracted to fermenting water and will lay their eggs in your bucket. Bti is a naturally occurring soil bacterium that produces a toxin that kills mosquito, blackfly, and fungus gnat larvae only.
This method doesn't harm bees, butterflies, fireflies, fish, frogs, birds, pets, or people. BTI dunks are EPA-approved for organic use and safe in animal water troughs and birdbaths.
One dunk lasts about 30 days. Top off the water as it evaporates. Cover with 1/2-in Mesh Hardware Cloth to prevent animals from getting trapped and put the bucket somewhere shady where pets and kids won't get into it.
The bucket becomes a mosquito magnet and a dead end. Compare that to fogging the entire yard with pyrethroids, which kills every insect in it, including the predators that eat mosquitoes.
Doug Tallamy's Homegrown National Park has been running the "Mosquito Bucket Challenge" since 2021. The more buckets in a neighborhood, the bigger the dent. One bucket per yard is a great start.
@MattWalshBlog I would agree with the sentiment if this wasn't America, home to the landwhale. Vast swathes of our fellow countrymen are gorging themselves inbetween meals and running out of breath going up the stairs. Until we reduce obesity/heart disease drastically... Keep counting steps.
Here are my own thoughts on the Tucker phenomenon as I have watched over these last couple of years. I genuinely don’t think Tucker Carlson is intentionally lying. That category is too easy and, frankly, lets the real issue slip by unnoticed.
What I see instead is a man who has trained himself to speak often and speak quickly, which means that he is rarely interested in speaking carefully. Over time, that kind of speech forms habits. So, what we see is his words coming out with force, sometimes even with insight, but without the discipline that preserves clarity and continuity.
He seems to be the kind of learner who does not labor to build stable categories. You can see this when he speaks of his Bible knowledge; consistency is not the driving concern for Tucker. There is a kind of elasticity to his thought, almost like an ability to adjust, to pivot, to develop politically in real time. And while that can give the appearance of freshness or boldness, it also means that what is said today may not sit comfortably with what was said yesterday.
So the issue is not first deception, but formation. Or, as I say, it's a matter of ritualizing speech. When a man is not committed to careful speech, he becomes difficult to follow. His rhetoric can stir people who are already angsty about the present. In other words, his use of uncareful language moves people to such and such conclusion, but it does not build them into a distinct interpretation of reality.
And that is where the concern rests, at least for me. Words are not neutral. They are a form of stewardship. If they are not governed or tethered to thoughtful, consistent categories, they may generate a lot of heat but will struggle to provide lasting light. And ultimately, that's where I think Tucker is today: heat, but little light.
@RichardDawkins Three days and he didn't pick up on the terrible memory, the unabashed sycophancy and confirmation bias, the inane and BRAINLESS appeals to societal norms and established authority at every turn? It does not think. It guesses what you want to hear. Just very good guesses.
I still haven't solved the CO2 bedroom challenge
You open the window and you wake up from a 6am garbage truck or barking dogs and sunlight
You close it, you suffocate in 1200 ppl at 5am
I guess you really need some mini tube in your wall with a vent that opens and closed based on internal CO2 but how do I build that?
Truly nothing will ever beat the experience of tuning into the 2nd episode of Deep Space Nine and getting flashbanged with this out of nowhere when you least expect it
