An incredibly emotional moment outside our hospital yesterday as every member of staff who could lined up to say goodbye to Sophie, our vibrant and committed colleague.

Farewell, Sophie Fagan. Rest In Peace.

And Rest in Peace all the NHS and Social Care colleagues we have lost.

This has been the saddest of days.

Sophie was an incredible lady, a true force of nature - always fighting for her patients. The hospital and the patients of Hackney have lost a great friend.

Sophie started working as a nurse when i was 2 years old and was still giving her all 54 years later, still loving it

These truly are difficult days. Our family is hurting.

Our colleagues are incredible, showing such strength and commitment.

We also want to pay tribute to their families, who watch their loved ones head to the frontline, day in day out.
