Upon my easel... the Cavemeister General - a production wrought of twig, mineral, anxiety & fortitude in the face of overwhelming indifference, 42 x 30cm... Available to discerning lovers of the arts &c. #nickcave#contemporarydrawing#charcoalportrait
@arthistorynews Seriously? Freud's beautiful punning portrait of Kitty Garman, 'Girl with Kitten' doesn't get in?... I am aghast! @JANUSZCZAK p.s. Billingham's gruelling work is entitled 'Ray's a Laugh', & has recently been made into a film, 'Ray and Liz', surely a rib-tickling chuckle-fest...
@EmilyOConserve I'm all in favour of aging gracefully, so tend to agree with your position! Thank you for humouring me with your expertise this morning, it's the most convivia and informative exchange I have enjoyed on Twitter since my resurrection. *tips hat*
@EmilyOConserve Is there any benefit in inserting acid-free tissue between the folio leaves at this point? Or is the aging process (I don't really consider it 'damage') so far advanced that intervention would make little difference? *distracts again*
@EmilyOConserve Hello Miss O'Conserve, as promised I come bringing a paper mystery for your expert perusal! Here is a recent acquisition, a drawing which I think is one of mine, thus executed sometime between 1815-51. The sheet is 16x11 inches, quite heavy, and rough in texture..
@EmilyOConserve The print does have an exceptionally wide border (most of my prints have extremely narrow borders) which is perhaps due to the experimental nature of the print. Perhaps it also explains the casual fingerprints at the very edges, to be cut off?
