@Yeenie_Mcbeenie@aryanblackgirl Sure but I meant like, literally lasers and such. it was a huge trope of my childhood and encountering it from something written in the 70s had me wondering what the origin was -- I always assumed it was a 90s thing
What's the earliest example of the hi-tech vault/secure room in a heist story? Y'know, laser trip-wires, pressure sensitive floors, sound-sensors etc... like in Mission: Impossible. Reading a Batman story from around '77 and it's got this stuff and it's the earliest I've seen.
I can't believe this made like 2 billion. The main argument for cinematic universes, and now multiverses, is all this hypothetical depth of world and character, that they change and evolve -- but the world doesn't change & characters are totally inconsistent from entry to entry!

John Fetterman tries to hang himself in his office like once a month, but he's so tall and stupid he ends up just standing there all day with a limp extension cord around his neck and drool dribbling from his chin
Sensible popularist liberal pundits have decided it's actually good to be a heterodox renegade and go against the grain of the democratic party... when it's to pass the "classify palestinians as bugs and install genital scanning security bots in bathrooms" act
@richard_normal@probablyademon I'm not sure it's the same guy. the noses, the hands, the proportions are all different. but it is broadly in a style that feels like it's from the uk in the mid 20th century
My roommate found this incredible print at the thrift store but I cannot find a single bit of information about it online. Can someone please tell me where this is from I love it so much
@Grimeandreason Wild, but still a big jump from a lab prototype to a product that can be reliably mass produced at a viable price. IIRC reliability/consistency in mass production is still a big obstacle for graphene
