History of Gracie's Shop
"Gracie's shop has been part and parcel of the Termon community for 120+ years.
It first opened in the early 1900's by John McCafferty and taken over by Gracie McCafferty in the 1940's

sign of the times in 1939, when Termon National School had to close when only 19 children out of 124 were able to attend due to the influenza pandemic.

Who would have thought that 80 years later we would have another world pandemic.

We recently heard that Eamon de Valera may have visited Termon National School in the 1960's
Would anyone have any information on this? We know that it is highly unlikely that there was photographs taken as it was an unofficial visit
