As the designer behind this brand and also someone living through the realities of being Nigerian, this conversation hits differently for me.
A lot of us grew up hearing things like “be strong”, “man up”, “pray about it”, “others have it worse”, so we learned how to survive… but not always how to heal. And in a country where the economy keeps testing people daily, jobs are scarce, policies make survival harder, and uncertainty becomes normal, mental exhaustion quietly becomes part of everyday life.
Sometimes the pressure of being African, especially Nigerian, is carrying dreams bigger than your environment while still trying to stay emotionally okay. We become resilient because we have to, not because things are easy.
Designing for this conversation wasn’t just work for me it felt personal. Because behind every “I’m fine” is someone fighting silently to stay hopeful, motivated, and mentally present despite everything around them.
That’s why conversations like this matter. Resilience is powerful, but it should never stop us from acknowledging pain, burnout, anxiety, or the emotional weight many people carry in silence.

You think you’re immune to mental health struggles because you’re African and you’ve been taught how to toughen up. RESILIENCE is not IMMUNITY . Let’s talk about this tomorrow with @e_piphany1
We all know this is the era of AI and innovation.
As a brand strategist and designer, we now have AI that helps with brand assets, mockups, and all of that but sometimes when I go through that process and decide to get it done completely with AI, I don’t feel as connected to the brand as I should be. As I usually am.
So I made a decision I’m going back to creating brand assets myself. Yes, it takes time. Yes, it takes real thinking. But that’s exactly what clients are paying for, and honestly? I genuinely enjoy doing it. So why cut off that process?
Why cut off the joy?
Now I’m not saying I don’t use AI in my workflow. That would be a flat-out lie, because I use it heavily. Just in different ways.
Below are images I generated with AI, which I then converted into mockups myself because I do enjoy creating personalized mockups for each project. That part stays mine.
These are just my views. Everyone has a different workflow and what works best for them is what matters.
@Tegadesigns Taga you’ve been back to back with how to get innovative with Ai and make life easy be like I go join the trend o and also start searching and learning…
