Change the law says Unison - presumably to dismantle women’s legal protections by legislating to enable men to self-identify into women’s facilities, services and sports. It’s a disgrace.
If you’d rather chant slogans and look the other way you are complicit in this appalling scandal. It could never have happened without the support of a cultish culture that has demonised whistleblowers, hounded victims and attempted to scare the rest of us into silence.

One gets the impression Phillipson’s team thinks it’s a win to try and put her on a rhetorical pedestal above “frothing” women like @ForWomenScot who’ve been so much braver than her in advocating for women. Instead it just comes across as a sad case of internalised misogyny 🤷♀️.
Streeting has resigned. In his departure letter to the prime minister, he warns of a “dangerous English nationalism”, slags off Reform, attacks Starmer’s “island of strangers” remarks and calls Brexit a “disaster”.
That should bring the Red Wall flocking back.
People worried about assisted death services should sign this. People who strongly desire assisted death services should also sign this. Everybody should sign this.

@Lesleyknibb He’s a lousy prime minister of no noticeable integrity or principle. Mandelson alone should have ended him. He appears to have wanted power for the sake of power. He blows like a feather in the wind, U-turning so often he must have permanent whiplash.
I still defend my reaction because why would you eat the pregnant woman’s dessert without even asking first? Especially when there was only one slice left and everybody in the house knew it belonged to me.
He apologized immediately but I was genuinely devastated. I still bring it up years later because some things do not need to be forgiven quickly.
Every time I see cherry pie now I remember the betrayal.
There is a myth, very widely held in Labour, that we achieved an huge popular victory in 2024 under Starmer.
In fact we won 9.7 million votes, over 3 million fewer than in 2017 and half a million less than the 'disastrous' 2019 poll.
We won because the Tories imploded in 2024.
History made. We won ten out of ten seats, with overwhelming majorities in every single one.
Great Yarmouth First, then we Restore Britain.
A very special day.
Relieved the assisted suicide bill has run out of time in the Lords
Pro campaigners are spinning scrutiny as a lack of democracy
So, is democracy:
The PM making a promise to a TV personality?
No mention of it in the manifesto?
A biased Commons committee loaded with proponents?
⚡DEVASTATING FROM LORD DEBEN!
The former Cabinet Minister tells Peers that the assisted suicide Bill is the only Bill he can remember in FIFTY years in politics opposed by every member of the disabled movement. It is disturbing that Bill supporters are so unconcerned about this.
This is the basic reason why the AS bill failed. One impartial expert organisation after another looked at the detail and concluded that it was a nightmare in the making:
Kim Leadbeater sincerely sought to improve the plight of people at the end of life. Her Bill was the wrong way to do it, as brilliant docs & campaigners proved. Let's now focus on the urgent need to invest in palliative care so that everyone is properly looked after as they die
When you stop and think about it, assisted dying's a bit like salted caramel ice cream or shuffle dancing, because they're choices, too. Or Lynx Africa body spray - use it, don't use it, nobody else's business.
I used to be in favour.
In principle, with the right legislation and safeguards I still could be.
But once you've seen the statistics that disproportionately impact women, I doubt that safeguards will ever be enough.
Globally and in the UK around...
70% of lobotomies were carried out on females
70% of ECT was/is carried out on females
70% of puberty blockers are prescribed to females
70% of assisted suicides were carried out on females
70% of psychiatric euthenasia is carried out on females (more in some countries, especially where the majority of psychiatrists are male)
78% of victims of "mercy killings" are women and 88% of perpetrators are men.
We already know how keen the world is to see women as the problem, that needs labelling/medicating/fixing.
Whereas men get the sympathy, get to use MH as an excuse/justification for poor/abusive behaviour.
What safeguards can be put in place to fully and effectively protect women.

'It shows the lie parents have had to suffer that you have to affirm your child's desire to become a different sex.'
Director of Genspect Stella O'Malley reacts to a new study finding children with underlying mental health issues are more likely to question their gender.
"...to Christians celebrating..." This jars. What's wrong with just saying, "Happy Easter" in the traditional and universal way? The qualifying clause is odd, especially coming from the supreme governer and defender of the faith in what is still (offically, at least) a Christian nation. To illustrate my point, try imagining a grand imam saying, "Eid Mubarak to Muslims celebrating".
